The AFTRP at the service of public sector entities

The AFTRP is a public utility company (EPIC) created by the federal government in 1962. Its territorial jurisdiction covers the entire Ile-de-France region.

Four roles:land management agency, urban developer, development contractor and management agent for public facilities.
As an urban property manager, the AFTRP intervenes alongside local governments as a co-guarantor of the quality and successful completion of projects entrusted to it. Having acquired knowledge of change in the urban context and of the imperatives of sustainable development, the AFTRP is constantly adapting its roles and know-how to respond to the expectations of decision-makers at all the stages of urban projects, ranging from preliminary studies, through control of land-use, to implementation.

A top-level multidisciplinary team
The AFTRP possesses a team of 170 people, of which 80% are permanent staff, specialists in real estate engineering, land management and urban development, who are capable of directing complex, all-encompassing projects.
It has developed special areas of competence and expertise in the fields of  "brownfields", "transportation", "environmental protection" and "urban renovation".

Close-knit partnerships
Since it is independent of companies working in the real estate business and lends a careful ear to the needs of local governments and its other partners, the AFTRP can offer a diversified range of services that support the strategic objectives of its clients.
Given its unusual status, it is often called on to play a mediating role between governments and private entities.

Aiming to be easy to reach
In addition to its headquarters near the Gare de Lyon, located so as to be highly accessible to the various territorial bodies that comprise Ile-de-France, the AFTRP set up, as of 2001, two sub-directorates, North and South, encompassing the sectors of Roissy Plaine-de-France and Evry.
It also has an outpost at Clichy-sous-Bois for the implementation of the Clichy/Montfermeil urban renewal project.
