Oman is quickly becoming a hub of cryptocurrency activity, with a recent study by Souq Analyst finding that approximately 65,000 of the country’s residents are holders of crypto. Of these, the majority are either high school or college graduates, with an overwhelming majority (90%) of crypto holders being aged between 18 and 44 years.

The findings of the study also revealed that some 66% of Oman’s crypto owners hold a bachelor’s degree or higher qualification, with 25% of the respondents having graduated from high school. This suggests that Oman’s crypto holders are highly educated and have a good understanding of cryptocurrency and its associated technologies.

In terms of the composition of crypto assets held, the study found that over 55% of Oman’s crypto owners are bitcoin holders. Just under 50% of the respondents own ETH, with around 25% being holders of the stablecoin tether.

In terms of the value of the crypto assets held, the study found that the majority of the respondents (over 35%) own crypto assets with a U.S. dollar value of less than $25,900 or 10,000 Oman rials. However, a significant proportion of the respondents (over 12%) own crypto assets with a U.S. dollar value greater than $25,900 or 10,000 Oman rials.

Overall, the findings of the study suggest that Oman is becoming increasingly aware of the potential of cryptocurrency and that its crypto holders are highly educated and well-informed. This could be a positive sign for the country’s crypto industry, as a high level of education amongst crypto holders could lead to greater innovation and adoption in the future.
